A site about the gear that builds a yard haunt, written by someone who has to put it all away in November.
What this site covers
Haunt & Hedge covers the equipment side of a yard haunt: animatronics and 12-foot skeletons, inflatables that survive wind, fog machines and the fluid that actually makes them work, lighting and projection, the power setup that runs it for a month, and how to store all of it so you still own it next October.
That last category is deliberate. Most Halloween content stops at the purchase. The parts that decide whether a display works — anchoring, circuit load, drying things properly before they go in a box — are almost entirely unwritten, and they are where this site spends its effort.
Who it is for
The enthusiast upgrading: someone who already decorates, adds one bigger piece a year, and wants the setup that gets the neighborhood talking. Not the person buying their first pumpkin, and not a commercial haunt operator. Everything here assumes a real yard, a household circuit and a garage with finite space in it.
Who writes it

That is the whole byline, on purpose. There is no expert panel here, no certifications, and no test lab. One person writes the site, and where genuine third-party testing exists we cite it by name and date and credit whoever did the work rather than absorbing it as ours.
How picks are chosen
Every recommendation is scored against criteria we publish, from manufacturer specifications, retailer listings, published third-party testing and documented owner reports. We do not receive free products and we do not claim to have physically tested things we have not.
