1. Agreement

By using Haunt & Hedge you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Haunt & Hedge is operated by Iron Mako Media.

2. What the content is

Everything here is editorial opinion and general information about consumer products, based on manufacturer specifications, retailer listings, published third-party testing and documented owner reports. Our method is set out on the editorial policy page.

We do not run a test lab, and nothing on this site should be read as a claim that we have physically tested a product unless the page says so explicitly — which, at present, none do.

3. Electrical and safety content

This site discusses outdoor electrical setups, extension cords, circuit load and equipment that heats or moves. That material is general guidance and is not a substitute for professional advice or for your local electrical code.

• Requirements vary by jurisdiction and change over time. Where anything here conflicts with your local code, your local code applies.
• For anything involving fixed wiring, a panel, a new outdoor circuit or buried cable, consult a licensed electrician.
• Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for any equipment you own. Where they differ from anything here, follow theirs.
• You are responsible for the safety of your own display, including anchoring, cord routing and anything installed above head height.

4. Accuracy

We work from published specifications and verify what we reasonably can, and specifications change, products are revised and listings get things wrong. Check the manufacturer’s own current information before relying on a figure for a purchase or an installation decision.

5. Prices and availability

We do not publish prices in our own words. Where a price appears it comes from a live data source with a date attached and may be out of date by the time you read it. Prices and availability are set by the retailer and whatever the retailer shows at the moment of purchase is the real price.

6. Affiliate links

This site earns commission from qualifying purchases made through some of its links, at no extra cost to you. Some links earn nothing and are labeled as such. The affiliate disclosure has the full statement.

7. Third-party sites

We link to retailers, manufacturers and other publications. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their terms or their privacy practices.

8. Intellectual property

The text, scoring criteria, reference tables and original assessments on this site are our work and may not be republished in full without permission. Quoting a passage with attribution and a link is fine and welcome. Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

9. Limitation of liability

Haunt & Hedge is provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Iron Mako Media is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of this site or from reliance on its content, including purchasing decisions and anything you install or operate.

These terms may change. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version, and continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
